Roots are a relatively common Natural Resource, and are used as a source of Wood. Roots grow similarly to Mushrooms, and spread out from a source onto neighbouring tiles that have space. Roots can be found within cave walls, and will grow out of them if the wall is exposed. Roots will only spread a certain number of tiles from their source, and will stop growing if they are cut off from their source.
Roots are only found on maps that are close to the surface. In deeper levels, the only way to obtain Wood is either by using a Carbon Extractor or by delivering them from higher maps.
